Competitor analysis, user experience & interface design, InVision interactive prototype and the production of a design specification document for an undisclosed charity aiming to provide a solution to the dilemma faced by individuals and families who rely on food banks. They aim to achieve this by providing a online platform whereby suppliers, sponsors and stakeholders can directly support the socially disadvantaged in our society; offering an e-commerce platform with easy ways to manage their money, helping them to feel more in control of their finances, and ultimately their lives.
A coherent competitor analysis document (with particular focus on WCAG web standards) was produced. This document allowed the team and client to gain greater insight into the market, existing products and how our product should preform within this market. With the particular target audience in mind, accessibility was a key concern and played an important role in the analysis.
User Experience Design
Working closely with our lead UX designer, we devised porto-personas, experience maps, user journeys and rough wireframes which were presented to a focus group.
User Interface Design
An initial user interface design document was presented to the client to achieve buy-in from key stakeholders and potential investors.
InVision Interactive Prototype
After feedback from the focus group and key stakeholders, we moved onto the next stage of the project which entailed the production of a working interactive prototype to test our user journeys as well as the strength of the visual design. This prototype is to be used as the main presentation tool our client will be using when presenting to potential investors and sponsors.
The final stage of the project involved the production of a detailed design specification document, highlighting key design patterns, primary UI and the CSS attributed to these elements. The document will be shared with the development team when the project is scheduled for build.
